You could use smaller magnets and independent sensors for each gear. And use a motorcycle gear indicator light. But this is exactly on the right track to make one by using proximity switches to complete the signal.

Getting ideas for my fwd , it has boost by gear through a link ecu controlled by a speed sensor on the speedo cable but does not recognise what gear you are in just the speed and it boost cuts if your going slower than the previous gear's top speed . I believe this would solve my issue , but my car is an 80's hatch that has one tubular rod that connects to the gearbox. This would present and issue with torque flex of the engine and gearbox as the rod has no give. The sensors would have to be connected to the gearbox to get around this and boost by gear is on in 1st 2nd and 3rd so it should be easy enough to set-up through one of the trigger inputs . I want to get my low 5 second 0 to 100kmph into the 4's Thanks for the inspiration.

Thank you so much for the video. I hate drum brakes, and I found it wicked easy to just take off the HUB. it only took (4) 14 mm bolts, and she popped right out. I bought a stud puller from Amazon, it's basically a free-spinning ball bearing. You thread the stud, slip on the "ball bearing" throw on the nut, and carefully ZIP ZIP with an impact, and it's done. Then i was like maybe theres a video and pow. I hve have a gt 6 speed eclipse 4gen and ill be damned if my tach hasnt worked since i bought it a couple years back. Didnt work when i bought the car and the car was a couple hrs from my house so when j paid for it and told them id be there to pick it up they waited til i got there to tell me they didnt have time to change it yet which made me assume it was a 8 hr project. Not a 10 minute one.

My tac gage went out and i have to pull my cluster and replace it just wondering if u might show a video on how to remove your cluster. Just assumed i had to pull the entire dash but seeing your dash together and yours loose maybe it can be done fairly simply.
